Professional Volunteers
Thanks to all who helped us make the Zero Waste Innovation Hackathon a reality!
Details for Presenters, Coaches/Mentors & Judge Volunteers
Zero Waste Washington is convening the Zero Waste Hackathon virtually across five consecutive weeks from mid-October to mid-November 2020. The program is a four-week series of one-hour workshops that prepare participating high school and college teams to develop and present their ideas for zero-waste projects as they compete for over $5,000 in cash prizes. This enables them to carry their ideas forward to other business plan competitions in the Pacific Northwest.
We depend upon volunteer Presenters, Coaches, Mentors, and Judges to conduct this program!
Presenters - Perform one 20-25 minute Business Fundamentals presentation during a single workshop session.
Coaches - Are available on their own schedule for one-off consultations, assisting teams with specific questions about Business Fundamentals or Sector Topics throughout the program period (mid-Oct to mid-Nov).
Mentors - Give general or specific ongoing support for a specific team during the program period and potentially beyond.
Judges - Will evaluate team presentations, first selecting finalists and then our 2020 Zero Waste Hackathon champions!
